About LAUGRO

LAUGRO helps livestock farms find out whether small-scale biogas makes sense, with one simple aim: make practical renewable energy easier for farms to reach. Many livestock farms already produce what biogas needs, every single day.

Why we started

A round concrete slurry store beside livestock sheds

Farms are surrounded by energy they don't use. Manure gets stored, moved and spread, while energy bills keep climbing. Large biogas plants have shown what's possible, but they're built for energy companies, not for a single family farm. We started LAUGRO to bring that technology down to farm scale, and to give farmers an honest answer about whether it's right for them.

How we work

  • Farm first. We start with your livestock, your manure, your energy use and your site, not with a product to sell.
  • Numbers before equipment. We look at the economics before anyone talks about tanks and engines.
  • Straight answers. If a biogas plant doesn't make sense for your farm, we'll tell you.
  • Right size. A plant sized to what your farm actually produces runs better than one that's too big.

Where we are today

LAUGRO is at an early stage. Today we focus on initial farm reviews and on helping farmers understand their options: plant sizes, indicative costs, permits and funding. Over time, we'll work with equipment manufacturers and installers to deliver complete farm biogas plants.

Where we're going

Biogas is where we begin. Over time, we want to help farms produce, store and use more of their own energy, with technologies that fit the realities of farming.
